Video lecture protection that starts at the login

Real video lecture protection is about who can get in, not just what the player does. Floral Gray LMS controls how many devices a student can use, where they log in from, and whether a browser is allowed at all.

The Real Problem

Most course piracy starts with one shared password

Screen-recording gets the headlines, but the everyday leak is simpler. A student pays once, posts their username and password in a group chat, and the course is suddenly serving a whole class.

An anti-piracy LMS has to make that pointless. Floral Gray LMS attacks it from three directions: how many devices an account can use, where logins come from, and which apps are allowed to play your lectures. Your admins control all three, live.

Control 01

Device login limits

An LMS with a device login limit makes a shared password far less useful.

How it works

You set how many devices each student account may log in from. Once a student hits the cap, another device can’t sign in with that account.

Staff are never restricted

Limits apply to students only. Teachers, faculty and admins can sign in wherever they need to.

Set per client

Choose the limit that suits your students. A tighter cap for a high-value exam course, a looser one if families share a tablet.

Control 02

Location-based login policies

Notice when an account turns up somewhere it shouldn’t be.

Flag or block by country

If your students are in one or two countries, a login from anywhere else is worth a second look. Flag it for review, or block it outright.

Your call, per deployment

Academies with international students can leave it relaxed; local coaching centers can lock it down.

Control 03

Native-only mode

Close the browser door when you don’t need it.

Block browser access

Decide per deployment whether students can use the web app at all. Switch it off and lectures play only inside your native Windows, macOS, iOS and Android apps.

Why it matters

A browser tab is the easiest place to copy a link or hunt through page resources. Keeping students in native apps removes that route. Native app vs browser LMS, explained.

Control 04

Live toggles, no rebuild

Security policy shouldn’t wait for a release cycle.

Instant effect

Device limits, location policies and web access are admin settings. They apply the moment your admin saves them, with no app update and no support ticket.

Your team, your rules

Tighten access before an exam season, relax it for a free trial week. You decide, and you don’t wait on us.

Foundation

An isolated backend

Your data isn’t sitting in the same tables as another academy’s.

One client, one backend

Every client gets its own backend services and database. There’s no shared multi-tenant database with a tenant column holding everyone together.

Visibility when you need it

Activity logs and per-student progress sit in the admin dashboard, so you can see what happened on an account and when.

Straight Talk

What no LMS can promise

Anyone who can watch a video can point a phone camera at the screen. No software stops that completely, and a vendor who says otherwise is overselling.

What a secure LMS can do is remove the easy routes: shared passwords, unlimited devices, logins from anywhere, and browser access you don’t need. Those account for most casual sharing. Pair them with clear enrolment terms and you protect the bulk of your revenue. Our guide on how to protect recorded lectures from piracy goes deeper.
